Massage

Sports massage is a form of therapy most beneficial to athletes acting as both a prevention and treatment of injuries. It focuses on improving the health of connective tissues, muscles, and overall wellbeing.
Swedish massage uses five styles of strokes. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber or with the fibers) and vibration/shaking.
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial and focus on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective soft tissue layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
